Tuesday May 2nd 1916 We were going on the Auto trip early this morning but it still looked rainy. But it was clear enough we left after an early dinner and had a hundred mile ride. We saw beautiful country. spent the evening visiting. Wednesday May 3rd 1916 It was a fine morning. We left at 9:15 in company with Belle's Father, Col. Wilcox, who left us at Anadarko. We reached Janes at a few minutes after two. I found a lot of letters and cards from the folks. Jane feels much better. I started to make Jane a pattern of my quilt. Thursday May 4th 1916 I am working away on the pattern from Jane. I wrote some letter and was down town late in afternoon. Friday May 5th 1916 It was a windy day. I was down town in the morning. I made inquiry about going home by Memphis. I worked at crotshet all afternoon. Saturday May 6th 1916 I was home most of the day. I went down late in afternoon to have Mrs Knight wash my hair. Will Jane Art Mc and I spent the evening on the proch. Art & Ella away. Suinday May 7th 1916 Will 68 years old today and William Byington was 18 yesterday. I was at the M. E. Church in morning was very warm. I spent awhile in afternoon. Will, Jane Art Mc & I spent evening on the porch.
