Sunday May 14th 1916 We took a walk to the river front park to look for the boat. It was very warm. We ate lunch in our room I read some and wrote Birdie and Rob. After supper at the caffeteria we walked to the wharf. "The Georgia Lee" is in. Monday May 15th 1916 It rained very hard this morning. We got breakfast near by and were packed and down to the boat by nine oclcok. We started at noon. Spent the afternoon pleasantly. Tuesday NMay 16th 1916 The day passed pleasantly. There are not many passengers. I read some and did fancy work. We are enjoying the trip. Wednesday May 17trh 1916 This day passed much as yesterday. We have fewer passengers. I sent some letters on shore to mail. fine weather. Thursday May 18th 1916 Another pleasant day on the boat. at noon the old lady and "Johnny" got off at "Chester" Ill. We had some beautiful scenery early in the evening. This is our last night. We have some of the officers that were on "The Stocker Lee" last summer. Friday May 19th 1916 We were at the St Louis wharf when we woke up this morning. We packed up but Will found there was no boat to Burlington till the first of the week. We went to the Union Depot where we spent most of the time till the train left for Burlington at 2:15. We saw lots of overflowed land on the way. Went right up to Birdie. She was expecting us.
