Tuesday July 25th 1916 We were all abut home all forenoon at 2:15 we girls went down town. They to call at Minnies and I to get things for the table. I was only gone an hour. They at 5:40. We spent the evening at home. I was busy till late. Wednesday July 26th 1916 I got up early to do baking. Hattie & Fannie with Aunt Emma Mary & Edna spent the day here. The day was hot but we had a good visit any way. Rob came for the folks. Jeff McCallister & Florence Showers spent the evening here. Thursday July 27th 1916 Was busy about the house all forenoon and we girls went down at 3:15 and Rob took us over the river. Hatte had all the family thee for supper which was quite a task for such a hot evening and her changed way of keeping house. Rob took the girls over to John Mc to stay all night. We came on the 8:30 car. Friday July 28th 1916 I washed and ironed some. The girls did not get home til bed-time. They went to the Amana Colony with Johns folks. I went down to bid Blanche good by at 3:35 train and over to Hatties to visit with the Shulz folks. Rob and the folks brought me home. Saturday July 29th 1916 We were all invited down to Orin Spencers for dinner. It was a frightfully hot day. Enjoyed the visit in spite of the weather. [Hort?] brought us home in the Auto. The girls have slept on the back porch here the two last nights.l
