Tuesday September 5th 1916 I got Wills few things needed packed up so he went down town at 8:15 to go to Delavan. I sewed all day on a white dress I am fixing to wear tomorrow Eloise came out at 5:30 to stay all night. rain tonight. Wednesday September 6th 1916 I got up early to wash. There was a shower and the most beautiful rainbow I ever aw. I went down town at 2:15 and to see about tickets &c. Then out to Swishers to a party. Home at 7:30. Eloise with me. Thursday September 7th 1916 I sewed all day on my silk dress. I got some mail ready for Delavan early in the morning. I had a paper from Lydia. Mrs. Knight in Oklahoma is not dead. Friday September 8th 1916 I sewed till about four oclock to finishe my dress. I then went down town for some things I needed. Home at 6:30. Eloise came with me. Did a little work on the evening It was 36 years today since John & Hattie were married. Saturday September 9th 1916 I made jelly and ironed in forenoon. I got me a little dinner and to town at 2:15. The hedges folks met me at the depot and we all went to the play "Lazy Bill." I then went down to the depot to find out more about our trains and waited up town for Rob to go after the girls at Mrs Swishers. Home with Hattie at seven oclock. We spent the evening at Otts. Will got home
