Wednesday April 3rd 1918 This is Bro Robs birthday. I did my ironing in the forenoon and visited with Lydia and did fancy work in the afternoon. Will was up town in the evening. I read some. Thursday April 4th 1918 I helped Vene a little with the ironing in forenoon. Lizzie Duncan spent the afternoon here. I heard from Hattie and wrote her again. Some letters came back that Lydia had forwarded. we visited all evening. Friday April 5th 1918 Frank Woolf came and too Will & I out to spend the day with them. It was so cold the folks would not try to go. Vene was up town. Mr Parsons called when we got back. Saturday April 6th 1918 It began to rain soon after breakfast so Harry Mabel & Laura could not come up in an Auto with friends as they expected to do. I was at home all day. I cough a great deal. Harry came by train at supper time Will up town awhile in the evening. It stopped raining.
