Sunday November 9th 1919
It was cloudy day. Vene had a regular Thanksgiving
dinner. I read the papers and walked over to
Lizzie Duncans late in the afternoon. It was dark
when I got home. a rainy evening all at home.
Monday November 10th 1919
It stopped raining and there was a strong with.
I wrote Hattie and worked at my crotchet work.
The girls went to Eastern Star meeting in evening.
Tuesday November 11th 1919
It was a fine day. Vene did the washing, Sallie
Sheeley was here in the afternoon. Laura went to
San Jose with the High School Band to celebrate
Armistice Day in the evening. I took a long walk
before supper. I feel fairly well now.
Wednesday November 12th 1919
It was very cold today. I was not out of the house
till late in the afternoon for a few moments. There
was an election for a Community High School. Vene
and The Girls voted. It carried. I wrote Lizzie Lindley
in the evening. Eleven months today we buried Will.
Thursday November 13th 1919
Still pretty cold. I was busy with my fancy work.
Mt Haskins came in afternoon and took me to the
cemetery in his car to locate The Withrow lot and see
where to place the monument. a letter from Ott
and I get the paper every day. wrote Hattie today. Mr. Parsons called in late afternoon.
