Thursday December 11th 1919
Weather still cold. I did not get up till after nine oclock.
wrote Hattie about some business matters. Had another letter
from her and papers from home. The fuel situation is bad
there. I crotcheted some and read a little.
Friday December 12th 1919
The weather pleasant enough that it melted the snow
away. I cleaned up my room and did some other things.
I went up town in afternoon. I met Lizzie Duncan on the
street and was with her awhile. Late in the afternoon
Mr Hoskins came and told me the work was all done on
The Withrow lot in the cemetery. he will take me out one
day next week to look at it. How strange it should be
finished a year from the day We laid Dear Will away.
The girls went up town after supper to a school entertainment. card from Fannie.
Saturday December 13th 1919
Very cold again. I was not out of the house. The folks busy
with the work. I crotcheted some and read the papers.
It is a year today since Jim Mason died. Will & I were at Hatties.
Sunday December 14th 1919
It was still cold. The girls went to church. I wrote some
in forenoon and more later in the day. I wrote letters to
Alice Coridon, The Reed girls, Ella Nagle, Mrs Falk, and Fannie.
The folks had callers some of the neighbors most of the
afternoon and evening.
