Friday July 12th 1912 It rained some this morning and Lorna did not go to school. We sewed some in the forenoon. I went to town at 1.15 to get some things I needed and Lorna at 4.15 to go to the valley. I went down home at 6.15 to spend the evening Came back at 9.40. Saturday July 13th 1912. I sewed all forenoon and got my waist nearly done Will was to town in the forenoon to see about tickets engage sleeper etc. He went down again in afternoon I wrote Rob & Cora. I washed and ironed some in afternoon Did some kitchen work after supper and sat on the porch. Sunday July 14th 1912 It was a frightfully hot day. Fannie called up and invited us down there to dinner. We went and I did not come home till 5.30 had lunch and sat on porch Lorna came back from Stevens tonight. Monday July 15th 1912 I was busy with the work all forenoon. I baked a cake. Weather cooler. I went down town afternoon to get my new glasses When I got back Lorna had packed up her things and Will taken her trunk down home, and brought back a trunk Fannie used to lend up for our trip. Lorna went down there at 7.15 and I put in the evening sorting out things we needed to take with us.
