Tuesday July 16th 1912 Soon after the evening was done Mrs Hoffman and Jinnie come. I packed our lunch and Jinnie took it to the depot. Will had gone in to buy the tickets. Soon as we had dinner I turned the work over to Mrs Hoffrman and dressed to start at 2:15 Ott Fannie Hattie & Laura were at the depot. We started at 3:08. Could not get a sleeper but hired pillows for the chair car and got through the night very well at Phillipsburg Kansas by day light. Wednesday July 17th 1912 Reached Denver at 1 PM on time. Rob & Cora met us there Rob is not going to work any more as Mr Greenman had secured a man in his place. We got lunch at Fisher & Daniels Tea Room and spent the afternoon sightseeing in Denver. Left there at 8 oclock on the interurban for Boulder. I was tired enough to sleep well. quite a day. Thursday July 18th 1912. It was cold and drizzling. Cora had a fire in the gas grate part of the day. we sewed some I finished my white waist and wrote letters. The boys were about town some. We went to bed early as we were not entirely rested from the trip. This is a beautiful place. The view of the mountains and the town jist below where they live is very pretty.
