Tuesday October 22nd 1912 I was busy all forenoon with the work. Hattie and she that was Addie Fletcher came out at 10:40. We had a nice visit. They went in at 4:15. I sewed some. I wrote letters and cards most of the evening. A card from Nellie. Wednesday October 23rd 1912 I was collecting a few things to take and cleaned up stairs good. Went to town in afternoon to get things I needed. I made some tatting in the evening. A letter from Lydia. Thursday October 24th 1912 A fine day. Will helped me do a big washing and I did the ironing in afternoon. I got a few more things ready to take with me. Rob, Cora & Hattie were out for supper. There was a slight rain. Friday October 25th 1912 I was busy with baking and cooking all forenoon. warm as summer. I got my things ready to pack and rested awhile. We had supper so I had plenty of time to dress. We went down at 7:15. Will did not wait for us to start about nine oclock. Saturday October 26th 1912 Ott Fannie and I arrived in Chicago about seven oclock had a good rest in the sleeper. After a breakfast at the depot went out to George Bremmers. Fannie's Mother and Aunt Fannie Hepburn were there. Nellie telephoned the baby was sick and Fannie and I went on over there. we helped her get supper. Ott & Fannie started to Elyria, O. tonight. The baby is quite sick. Nellie telephone for her Mother to come back. She had only been gone two days.
