Saving...
Monday December 30th 1912 I washed out my best napkins and some doilies in the morning. Will and I went to town at 2:15 and got the turkey and other things needed. Mr Ellis the pastor came out on the car with us for a call. I worked all the evening fixing things to make the dinner easy to get on Wednesday. Very beautiful weather. Tuesday December 31st 1912 Will helped me fix the table the right length and I cleaned the house up nicely. I had some dinner so I went down on the hill at 12:15. I stopped at Otts awhile and then on up to Coras where the girls from the Old House were spending the day. Hattie met the afternoon train from the east and I waited to see By & Millie before I came home at 4:35. I had to go up town for some bread. I got our supper over and was all the evening doing things I wanted done. Another year has gone by and brought changes John & Mrs Bremmer have been taken from our little circle here at home and Rob & Cora have returned to us. Jay Denton has met a tragic death. We hope to have less of this in the year to come I have been very well and enjoyed the trips I have taken and the friends I met in these short journeys. God bless and keep us all. Amen.
