Friday June 27th 1913 Emma took us to the cemetery in the forenoon. Will and I ate lunch with her. Bertha had been out riding with Will. We rested at Alices in afternoon and left for St Louis at 9 oclock a very hot day. Saturday June 28th 1913 We reached St Louus at 7:30 and spent the day in the depot till 2:30 left for Delavan. It was a hot dusty ride reached there on time, had supper, and after visiting on the porch awhile took bath and went to bed. Sunday June 29th 1913 Frank Woolf came for us in the Auto about ten oclock. After dinner there we rode over to Atlanta where we met Wills old friends The Strongs. The folks had died only a few days before. From there we went to Armington & Miniar and were home before dark. My first long ride in an Automobile. weather warm. Monday June 30th 1913 Frank took us over to Browns and then down town and out to his house in time for dinner. In the afternoon went to Easton 30 miles away to see Will Stevens family. a very hot day. We were home before dark. Rob & Cora married 5 years today. Tuesday July 1st 1913 It rained so Frank and Soffie did not go in with us till afternoon. We visited with the Mason family till late bed time. Will went up town a little while.
