Tuesday November 18th 1913 weather drizzling rain. I sewed part of the day and then put up the last of my pears. Got some things ready to pack after supper and took my bath. Wednesday November 19th 1913 I left home at 9:15. Will took my suit case to the depot. He was busy taking down some old telephone poles. I left Iowa City at 10:17 reaching Burlington at 1:15 and went up to The Harris House. Spent the afternoon and evening visiting with Birdie & Mrs Blocknor. Thursday November 20th 1913 It was 29 years today since John Hattie Ott & I started from here to go to Charlies wedding at Roseville and jist such a beautiful day. I went down town took a long ride on the car got back at 11:30. Mrs Shultz was there to take dinner with me. Mrs Blockner went to the depot with me at 2:40. I left for North Henderson. Uncle Ida & Betty met me. I was with Mrs Dr Morgan from Monmouth. Wrote Lydia Friday November 21st 1913 A fine day. Visited with the folks and worked on my tatting. Ida Betty & I were invited to Arthur Shavers for supper. Wrote Will. Saturday November 22nd 1913 I left North Henderson at 8:10. had a nice trip to Peoria. a long wait there but I was busy with my tatting. Got to Delavan on time. Milton was on from Pekin. Jim met me Vene fixed me some supper. we spent the evening visiting. Edith is down at Pawnee with Harry & Mable.
