Tuesday July 21st 1914 was busy all forenoion with cooking. went to town to try my teeth. Went to a picture show and home at 4:30. After supper sat on the porch with Will. Edith went down to Ida Andersons. Wednesday July 22nd 1914 I was at home all day and when not busy with the meals worked on some fancy work. very warm indeed. Thursday July 23rd 1914 I am 63 years old today. Edith got home at 11:40. She brought me a little basket of peaches for a gift. We dressed and went down to Fannie at 2:15. She had a nice party for the girls cousins. We enjoyed it in spite of the warm day. We did not come home till 9:30. I heard today that Ethel Dentons husband has a position in S. U. I. and they will live here. Friday July 24th 1914 I was at home all day. Did the work and sewed some. I slept awhile in the afternoon. Edith resting and doing fancy work. Cora came out late in afternoon and Rob to supper. good visit. Saturday July 25th 1914 I went to town at 8:15 to see Dr Breene. Edith did her ironing. I got me a new pair of shoes. I sewed some in PM and we all went down town at 7:15. We girls went to the picture show and and did a lot of looking in the stores. I got me a new dress and a table cloth. Came home at 9:30 and sat on the porch till after eleven oclock. The heat is something awful.
