Saving...
Saturday December 26th 1914 It was very cold early in the day. I did a lot of cleaning about the house and washed a few things. I went to town at 3:15 to get things for the table and called on Mrs A B Springer. Hattie came home with me at 5:30. I got a paper that Aunt Mary Folsom of Bloomington was dead. Sunday December 27th 1914 It was much milder this morning. Hattie went to S. School and I to church later. Came home to get dinner. I did not feel I could go back to Mrs Lawyers funeral in afternoon. I wrote some letters. Rob & Cora came out for supper. The girls went home at 9:15. Monday December 28th 1914 It was a bitter cold day. I was at home all day and did some sewing. I read most of the evening. Tuesday December 29th 1914 It was snowing this morning but I went down town at 9:15. Cora came over and helped me buy a cloak. We went out to Ida Andersons. Hattie, Fannie. Aunt Emma, and Anna were there. We had such a nice time. It was hard getting home in the snow. Wednesday December 30th 1914 I was at home all day. I did some sewing and got a few things together to do my packing late in the week. Will had a lot of snow to shovel. Mr Eggenburg brought the horses back to keep them here. It was below zero this morning.
