Saving...
Tuesday May 25th 1915 I took our things down to be washed and wrote letters. In afternoon we went out to the Brown girls for supper. Came home by old pike hill. Got our clothes where they left and to hotel. It rained all evening. Wednesday May 26th 1915 It rained so we could not go to Waverly today. I read and wrote some. Was down to Browns in the evening. Had a letter from Mrs Lape. She goes to Portsmouth tomorrow. Thursday May 27th 1915 I got up early and went to Waverly. I found Will Anderson's daughter and called on Mrs Lape. I then went back to Ina's to meet Will & Manda and stay for dinner. I phoned Will and he came for me with a horse and buggy. Spent the evening at Browns. Rain later. Friday May 28th 1915 A rainy forenoon. We made calls in afternoon and spent the evening at Browns. Our last day here. Saturday May 29th 1915 I packed up and we left for Portsmouth at 10:20. We missed Sue who had gone to meet us but got in before a heavy rain. Found letters here. Spent time visiting. Sunday May 30th 1915 We slept and had breakfast at Cousin Ann's. Went to church with Sue. In afternoon went to see Mrs George Watkins and Sciota Lape. They brought us home in Auto. Ed Reed home from trying trip to New York. Spent the evening an Anna porch. Called at Sams in afternoon. Robs birthday 32 years old.
