Thursday June 9th 1904 I hurried around with my work. I took of more chickens and put out two hens. I have a little more than 100 from the nine hens. Mother, Hattie, and Sista Fletcher were out for the day. We had a very pleasant quite days visit. Friday June 10th 1904 I was busy with the regular work and the dinner all forenoon. I out in lots of time with the chicks. Will went to town after noon. I went as far as Woolfs. We were late home to do evening chores. The boys are plowing corn right along though we need rain very much. Saturday June 11th 1904 I had bread baking and extra work to do all forenoon. It was a warm day. We did not try to go down town. I put hens out in the yard with the little chicks and had to watch them. Will went to the pasture in the morning and mowed the yard. Sunday June 12th 1904 I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. I read, wrote, and slept after dinner. They took down a part of the river bridge iron as the track is now laid to the river. A warm day.
