Saving...
Wednesday August 31st 1904 I did washing & ironing and dried corn besides doing some sweeping down stairs. It was a cool day so one could not work well. Walter went up to see about the stock and worked at the stone pile. Thursday September 1st 1904 I went to town early for meat. Brought "Nell" back over home and went back with Mother & Hattie to see show parade. Ate dinner with the folks and came on out home. I sewed in afternoon. The heat was terrible and there was a hard storm at night I had a letter from Will and wrote to him. Friday September 2nd 1904 I took up the carpet in our bedroom in the forenoon and cleaned the floor and windows in the afternoon. I had Ralph came to help Walter and they got all the heavy rocks moved from the stone pile. It was a nice day to work. There came near being a terrible time at the show grounds last night. The tent blew down and took fire but they had not allowed any one to go in.
