Monday March 13th 1905 weather cold and unpleasant. Will could not do much but take care of the stock. I did some sewing. Robert McCallister came out at four oclock for the butter for the home folks. Tuesday March 14th 1905 It rained most of the forenoon. I am doing a little mending. Will busy with the work. Hattie went to Burlington this afternoon. Emma McCallister will help Mother with the work. Wednesday March 15th 1905 I cut out a dressing sacque in the forenoon. Will helped me put out a big washing in afternoon. I cleaned up the shed kitchen. I read awhile and went to bed early. Thursday March 16th 1905 I had churning, bread baking, and dinner to get for the men sawing wood today. I ironed in the afternoon. I got some supper for Will and I read awhile and went to bed early. Friday March 17th 1905 It was too unpleasant to go down home. I was busy about the housework most of the forenoon. Baked a cake to take to Mother tomorrow. I churned in the afternoon. I wrote to Hattie. I have had letters this week from Sallie Reed, Matilda Donovan, and Irene Duncan. I read all the evening. weather warmed. The ice went out of the river just before noon.
