28th Sunday March 8th 1874 As we did not get up till very late it was nearly noon before we got the morning work done. I went to Folsoms a little while in the afternoon. In the evening I read some. But went to bed at half past eight oclock. The earliest I have went to bed this winter with the exception of several evenings that I was sick. We only got two meals today. Monday March 9th 1874. My week to do the work again. I helped do the work and finished Fathers shirts. A cold disagreable day. Tuesday March 10th 1874. I did most of the work myself today, sewed what time I had in the afternoon and evening. Weather somewhat pleasanter, wrote to Bertie. Wednesday March 11th 1874. This was a lovely day for the time of year. We began early and got a large washing on the line before noon and I scrubbed the porch. In the afternoon it was so bright and
