Saving...
40th Monday April 6th 1874. We got up pretty early this morning. As soon as I had eaten my breakfast I began the washing, got it all done by noon. Winnie went to music this morning. Just as we got through eating dinner Owen came home. I sewed a little in the afternoon. And We played whist all the evening. Weather somewhat pleasanter. Tuesday April 7th 1874. I ironed till noon, and was busy doing house-work till nearly supper time. I then changed my dress and went up the river where Owen was fishing. As soon as I came back set the table for supper. In the evening played whist again. When we were through the game, I went with Owen to the river to look at his lines. After we came back had quite a little chat. Had a letter from Lou Sherfey and one from Charlie. Wednesday April 8th 1874. I helped do the house-work today and sewed every spare moment I had. played whist in the evening. To please Owen and Father.
