I had a letter from Charlie and answered it immediately Mother went to town in the afternoon I did some mending and got the supper ready before Mother got home. Winnie went after Hattie this afternoon they got home just as supper was ready. I played whist all evening. Saturday April 18th 1874. I helped do the morning work and sewed a little After dinner I rode over to town alone got some groceries and made several calls. Got home about four oclock.
