Saturday January 6th 1906 Was busy with the work all forenoon. Will went to town in the car. I washed a few things in the afternoon and read what spare time I had till late bed-time. Sunday January 7th 1906 I read all the forenoon. Billy was away all day. Jennie Donner and the children were here in the afternoon. It turned colder tonight. I still cough some. Hattie is still improving they think down home. Monday January 8th 1906 It was no a very pleasant day. We did nothing but the regular work and read some. i went to bed early. Hattie continues to improve slowly. a letter from Lydia. Tuesday January 9th 1906 Early this morning a man came out with Frank Tanner to look over the far. Will price is at $125 an acre. I got some lunch and Will went to town in afternoon. I read what spare time I had afternoon & evening. Wednesday January 10th 1906 I felt able to go down home after lunch. Will took me in the bob-sled. Hattie sat up some while I was there. Aunt Ellen & Lib were there a few minutes. We came home early. I got our late dinner and we both read till late bed-time. weather pleasanter.
