Saving...
Sunday January 28th 1906 I got the meals and put in most of my spare time writing. I wrote a long letter to Lydia and wrote to Mattie Briggs and sent her a wedding present. I read all the evening. Hattie still improving some. Monday January 29th 1906 Will churned for me. I sent Walter to Mother in the afternoon. Will went down on the car. I knit a little and read some in afternoon. I thought of washing but my [lung?] hurt me I was afraid to try it. read all evening. Tuesday January 30th 1906 I baked a cake in the forenoon and got lunch. I did not feel like doing much in the afternoon so read in my book. Lew price was out to look at a team to trade for. Wednesday January 31st 1906 I baked some nice cookies in the forenoon besides doing the regular work. Will went down town on the 12.30 car. I gave the kitchen a good cleaning up as the mud is frozen so it does not track in now. I wrote a long letter to Aunt Sarah in afternoon. Billy is busy splitting the wood. I got our supper over and read all the evening. One month of the year has gone. Next month we make another payment on the farm.
