Thursday June 28th 1906 I washed a few things this morning and got the dinner. I rested awhile after noon and then ironed. The girls busy with their lessons. A letter from Lou Duncan says she will be here next Tuesday night. I told the girls today their stay was to be a visit. Friday June 29th 1906 I got the work done early and went down town. I got a new calico dress. The girls got caught in a rain coming home at noon. I made a fruit salad, did up the work and sewed on my dress in afternoon. Then it rained again in evening. Saturday June 30th 1906 I swept the whole house in forenoon and got the dinner. The girls did their washing. They did ironing in afternoon. I rested some and sewed a little. We had thought to go down home for evening but Laura had headache and we were tired. Sunday July 1st 1906 There was hard rain last night. Edith went to church this morning. John & Hattie went to Cedar Rapids to see how George Foltz is. Lorie came yesterday. I slept and read in afternoon. In the evening we girls went down to Coralville to church. There was a band concert.
