Tuesday July 24th 1906 I was baking bread and doing other cooking all forenoon. In afternoon I swept the lower story and the girls did their ironing. A warm day. I had a letter from Anna Denton she wants us to come and visit here. I wrote in evening. The boys busy with the hay. We did need rain so. Wednesday July 25th 1906 The men working in the hay. I did sweeping and cleaning up stairs in forenoon. In afternoon I went down town. Got me a new traveling case and other things. Mother & Hattie in town. The girls were down town to call at Aunt Libs. Stayed till after supper down home. Got back at 8 oclock. Thursday July 26th 1906 I was busy with the work all forenoon and in afternoon sewed on my silk waist sleeves I am fixing. The girls were home all afternoon. [illeg] They finished haying at noon. There was 13 loads at Danners. Friday July 27th 1906 I did a big washing this morning and got the dinner. The girls did not go to school today. They were down town in afternoon and went back at 9.30 to go to the valley. Mrs Whedon was out for the afternoon and to stay to supper. weather very warm. Will went over to Art Jones. He drove "Bess."
