Thursday August 2nd 1906 Mother and Margie went down on the forenoon to see if Aunt Emma came from Dakota. When they got back Mother was very tired and felt badly all afternoon. Blind Bacon and daughter Mrs Simms called. She took me to ride. Friday August 3rd 1906 Margie and I went to the depot in forenoon but Aunt Emma came at noon on another road. Jay came home from a trip to Montana in late afternoon. Mother feels better and we are having a fine visit. Saturday August 4th 1906 Mrs Simms came this morning and took me up to see the Blind institute. The afternoon we spent home and a neighbor called. Word from home says they are doing all right. It is very warm. I write home nearly every day. Sunday August 5th 1906 We spent the forenoon visiting and reading. In afternoon Anna Jay Marjorie and I took a walk down in the city. We spent the evening on the porch. Anna had supper late. We have decided to not go home till Tuesday. It has rained here.
