Saving...
Thursday August 14th 1902 Will did not get up till noon. I put matting on the cellar door and cleaned the cellar. Walter churned for me and brought me corn to dry. In the afternoon I put down the stair carpet. Will went to the pasture. Word from Delavan says Flora Culbertson has survived a very dangerous operation. Friday August 15th 1902 It rained all day long. I dried apples and did some work up stairs. I am putting a carpet on Walters room. A letter from Joe Woolf says she cannot come home with Will for Mort & Emma will be there but will come soon after. I wrote her. Saturday August 16th 1902. It was a nice day. Walter churned and helped me wash. I was only done when Hatt, Alice & Laura came. I got dinner and visited in the afternoon. Will went to town after raking the last of the hay. Laura stayed all night.
