Wednesday August 27th 1902 I was very busy all morning. Did more painting. Walter is cutting weeds when not busy with the chores. I went down home a few moments in the afternoon and stopped at Woolfs for apples. Did the evening work. A pleasant day. Thursday August 28th 1902 I did a lot more painting and worked in the fruit. I made jelly, butter and apple preserves. I worked till nearly bed-time. wrote to Will. I got a letter from him. Friday August 29th 1902 I got things fixed for dinner and went down after Mother. Hatt rode over to town with me. Mother helped me sew the carpet I will put down in Mollies room. I took Mother home at four. Saturday August 30th 1902 I got the carpet down in Mollies room. Did a lot of painting, varnished the window sash, and did baking and put up a lot more fruit. I worked till nine oclock at night to get through.
