Friday January 5th 1900 Will took the butter to town today. I was busy with baking all forenoon. Had early dinner and Luther went up to clear the road-side by our own timber. I read in the evening did sewing in the afternoon. Weather pleasant Mother is 74 years old today. Saturday January 6th 1900 I was busy sewing all the time I could possibly spare from the house-work. I am making covers for my sofa pillows. The weather gloomy all day. The men have both been busy about the place all day. Sunday January 7th 1900 I was busy most of the forenoon about the work. I sent Mrs Simpson her dinner. I read in the afternoon and evening and was over to Simpsons a little while. Monday January 8th 1900 It was a very pleasant winter day. Elmer & Ida were down for dinner. I got my work done up before they came. The boys went over to Hill Siding in the afternoon. We girls visited and I did some mending This was Grand Fathers birth-day
