Friday March 23rd 1900 I did ironing and baking and churning in the forenoon and mending and other things after dinner. Will was up to the timber in the morning and to Hill Siding in the afternoon. I read all the evening. It was seven years today since Will sold out over the river. Saturday March 24th 1900 We took an early start to town this morning. I did some trading before we went over home. We found Lee much better and I enjoyed the day more than the last visit I made up there. The boarders were all away for dinner It was a cloudy day and set in to rain on us coming home. This is Fathers birth-day. Sunday March 25th 1900 I read some in the morning besides doing the work. We went down to Eds for some books after dinner and found he had the mumps. Came back to Johns awhile. I read and wrote in the evening. Monday March 26th 1900 I did baking this morning and Will churned for me. I swept up the house some too Ossie & Carrie were here in the afternoon to see about a surprise for Aunt Ellens birthday. I wrote to [illegible] in the [illegible]
