Saving...
Friday August 17th 1900 I had a very busy day with drying corn, baking and churning. Will took up the butter but did not stay Leonard went up to the farm to cut weeds. Saturday August 18th 1900 The work kept me busy a great part of the day. The men were busy about the place. They brought up the lye from Callies for my soap The boys finished their barn and settled for their board and went home about the middle of the afternoon. This has been a hot week with hard work. Sunday August 19th 1900 We went up home to spent the day. Lee seems so interested about going away. We all spent the whole afternoon talking in the front yard. Came home in time to do evening work. Monday August 20th 1900 I dried more corn and got churning and washing done with Leonards help. Will was over at Hill Siding in the afternoon to get plows fixed. Callie was up in the afternoon. Weather still very warm.
