Saving...
Cotters death was caused by being hit in the stomach with a ball over a week ago. I stopped at Mary Woolfs and went up the river to see about straw berry plants. Earnest & Jennie were here for supper. Went to bed early. Brother Charlies birth-day. Friday April 26th 1901 I was busy all forenoon with the house work. Will is raking and burning stalks. The weather is very warm. I did a little sewing in the afternoon and got the butter ready to go to town tomorrow. They finished fixing the pasture fence so they got the hogs out today. Saturday April 27th 1901 I was busy in the kitchen all forenoon. Some of the calves came home from the pasture where they took them yesterday Will went over and had a big run after them. We got a late start to town after dinner. I went with him to deliver the butter and then did some shopping before going over the river. Fannie and the children were home from a visit in Chicago. Sunday April 28th 1901 I did the work and read and wrote some in the forenoon after an early dinner Will and I went down home he went on over to see Mr Elliott. There were other callers there we came home in time to do the evening work
