Wednesday May 15th 1901 weather more pleasant. I sewed on Idas dress all the time I had from the work. I took of a lot of little chickens and set more hens. Thursday May 16th 1901 We worked and churned today and I sewed in the afternoon. It was a very very busy day. Friday May 17th 1901 Will went to town this morning and closed the bargain with Mr [Strimel] for the valley land I was busy sewing and finished Ida's dress. Saturday May 18th 1901 I was busy a part of the forenoon with the kitchen work and sewed all the afternoon. Weather warmer and threatening rain. Sunday May 19th 1901 I was busy most of the forenoon and in the afternoon we went down the road. Will stopped at Woolfs and I went on down home. We were looking over the front lots and talking about selling some of them. Monday May 20th 1901 It was a day of hard work. We washed, ironed and churned besides getting the meals, a nice day to work
