Monday June 3rd 1901 We washed and churned and in the afternoon Hattie, Mother & Fannie were out, it rained a little while they were here. They wanted Will to come down to fix fence around the yard some day soon. Tuesday June 4th 1901 We got ironing down this morning and in the afternoon went over to Mr Vandenbergs for strawberries, came down past home but found no one there, called at Mary Woolfs a little while. Will has a man at work by the day. He is plowing corn himself. Wednesday June 5th 1901 I have alot of little chickens hatching to look after and I am fixing my old lawn dress. There was a terrible rain storm at five oclock this evening. Thursday June 6th 1901 Did churning and got the butter ready today and was busy all the time working with my little chickens. The men plowed in the afternoon. Friday June 7th 1901 Will went to town this morning with the butter but could not get into the bank to deposit the money Mr Hartsock gave him as it was closed on account
