26 Friday December 20th 1895 Weather still raining. Will walked downtown and went over the river for his dinner. I worked on my hood after getting a dinner and doing churning. Seth was working about the barns. Will came home about four oclock. He brought a lot of papers so we read all the evening. Two months since Charlie was buried Saturday December 21st 1895 Seth went down town all day. Will and I sat around the house. I did not do much for dinner. I did not feel very well. I finished my hood though I got supper over early and knit all the evening. Sunday December 22nd 1895 The roads were too bad to go to church. I did the house work and wrote six letters during the day and evening. The boys were about home all day. Monday December 23rd 1895 I gave the house a good cleaning up this morning and the boys were fixing fence. Will and I went to town in the afternoon I got a few little things for christmas Did the regular evening work. A pleasant day. Tuesday December 24th 1895 It rained all day long. The boys could not even cut wood. I worked all day and till bed time fixing my old plush cloak so I could wear it. Wednesday December 25th 1895 We got the work done up and went down early.
