29th Friday March 1st 1872 A snowy disagreable morning did not have a very full school today Worked on my scarf all the spare time I had and till quite late this evening The weather is some pleasanter tonight. Saturday March 2nd 1872 Mother was to town today but I did not go over Ira was here to dinner and then went back to town late in the afternoon Jim and John came over to stay all night and shortly after Charlie came bringing Flo with him. In the evening Mollie and Lawrance came over and they all engaged in card playing John went over to lodge Mr McSparen was here a few moments him and Father went to school meeting they elected Mr Fletcher Director they lost the key between here and the school house The roads are muddy and it was very dark this evening I was as busy finishing my scarf tonight that I did not get any time to play cards I got it done and I think it beautiful. We had so much fun with John tonight he fell over a stump coming home from town did not get to bed till twelve
