Saving...
30th Sunday March March 3rd 1872 A cloudy disagreeable kind of a day Flo and I were not off the place the boys went to town twice John went to John Powells funeral and did not come back again I presume he went to the valley It was so dark and looked so much like rain that we did not go to church Mr Huebner did not come over. We young folks sat up till quite late Pete has been up home he complains about not hearing from me that’s a little strange as I wrote last Mr McSparen found the key this morning Monday March 4th 1872 Taught today, Mother and Father went to the tin wedding down to Jims had a very pleasant time they said Ira did not go down there today I hurried home from school and got the work done up early I went over there with Ira and Hat went with John. Flo went over to Mrs Hills this morning Charlie went up then after her Mr Huebner is quite sick she told me he did not get out tonight I wrote a note to Mr Clark in Coralville
