44th Wednesday April 3rd 1872 I have not been able to go out today I have divided my time between reading and dozing in my chair I helped about the house-work some today Mother was to town most of the day Charlie brought me a letter from Mr Huebner he was over this evening I found a letter in Otts pocket that he got out of the office for me yesterday from Mr H_ it would seem that it never rains but it pours for here I had two letters and a call from the same gentleman in one day Charlie told me today that there is a chance for me to have a school at Crouse-town I dont know whether I will take it or not He promised to tell me some news on Sunday if I did not hear it from some other source before that I am all anxiety to know what it is weather pleasant. Rob is 18 years old today. Thursday April 4th 1872 I wrote a note to Lizzie for her and her father to come over and spend the day with us they came and had a real pleasant visit and it has been oh such a nice day. A year ago today Maggie Middleton was buried wrote a note to Mr Huebner No letter from Pete
