53rd late in the afternoon I had the supper ready when she got home I had a letter from Bertie and one returned to me I had sent to Pete to Chicago. Berties letter contained a picture of herself and Sister I answered her letter and sent Pete a paper went to bed early Friday April 26th 1872 Rather pleasant this morning but it rained a little about noon Rob did not come home to dinner when he came he brought me a letter from Mr Huebner He called to see me this evening We intended to go to Society but the walking was too bad Charlie got home tonight it was a fearful dark night. Saturday April 27th 1872 It rained nearly all day and I was busy sewing made the skirt and the over-skirt to Mothers new dress she got cut yesterday Went to bed very early. Sunday April 28th 1872 The folks went to the valley this morning I did up the work and got the dinner Arth Folsom ate dinner with us I then changed my dress and read till
