Saturday June 8th 1872 Hattie and I did the Saturdays work Mother went to town real early Mrs Brooks was busy moving her things We did the work all up nicely after dinner and then took our work and went down to Robinsons came home about five oclock stopped to speak to Mrs Brooks a moment in her new house. Mother bought several things at auction She brought me a letter from Pete Lee is in Norwalk Ohio I wrote a little to him tonight will finish tomorrow Sunday June 9th 1872 I helped do up the work and then went to writing. Hattie went over to Mrs R_ Aunty and Uncle came down I helped get the dinner and then finished my letter Just before they went home I dressed. Was getting the supper ready when Mr Huebner came. He spent the evening with me we did not attend church for it was too muddy. Not a very pleasant day
