99th Thursday September 5th 1872 We got an early start to the Fair Uncle and Ett went with Pet and the buggy and Mr Hardy Jen Ira and myself went in the other one There was an immense crowd there and the display was very good. I met the Dr there and a few other Delavan folks I knew. We were tired enough to die when we got home Aunty had supper ready for us I had a letter from Bertie and she says Pete has gone west. Friday September 6th 1872 We all felt very much the worse for going to the fair. Ettie was almost down sick Ira brought me a letter from home tonight. Dickey Templeton was here for supper After supper Ett Venie and I went down to the depot taking baby with us and met Jim. He said he saw Father in Louisville. Saturday September 7th 1872 This morning Venie and I went down town and Dickey went with us. I had a long letter from Jake When we got home we went right straight back on an errand for Uncle I was all the afternoon writing a letter to J.J.H. heard from him this morning After supper Ira Jen and I went
