204th the ironing when I came home and just as we were sitting down to dinner Mrs Middleton came I baked cake all the afternoon and some cookies in the evening. A letter from Owen. Wednesday October 15th 1873 We finished the baking and got the house all in order by two oclock. Mother and I went to town and got a few things We had an early supper and were only just ready to see folks when Aunt Em and Uncle Jim Anderson came bringing with them Jims brother and wife who had only just arrived from Ohio. Every one appeared to enjoy themselves very much. Unfortunately it began to rain about two oclock and most of the company had to stay all night. had a letter from Lou Sherfey. Thursday October 16th 1873. As I did not go to bed at all last night I was already up for this morning I worked all the time till after dinner. Aunt Linda Her Father and Sister were here for dinner. In the afternoon Hatt and I rode to town. We were all glad to go to bed early tonight. Friday October 17th 1873. It rained all day. Owen was over to Robs school in the afternoon and stopped here for supper. I had a letter from Mr Huebner.
