224th Thursday October 22nd 1874. Went to school today. In the evening I sewed some on my cloak. Ett and Tom were out awhile. They had other company. I wrote Owen a long letter today. Friday October 23rd 1874. To school today. In the evening I sewed a little, and read some. Uncle started to McLean Co today. Weather pleasant. Saturday October 24th 1874. I worked all the forenoon on my waterproof. I got it all done. In the afternoon Aunty Jennie and I all went down town. I did some little shopping I got Mother a dress I am going to make it and send it to her. Sunday October 25th 1874. I wrote a few lines to Rob and read the rest of the time today. Tom and Ett were out a little while. I did not feel very well. Monday October 26th 1874. Jennie and I got up very early and had the washing nearly done by time for us to go to school. It began to rain about ten o'clock and I had a muddy time getting home in the evening. I changed my dress and in the evening did not feel like doing much of any thing. I wrote Charlie a long letter today. Had a letter from him, written Friday.
