January, SUNDAY, 25, 1863. Went to Protestant Episcopal church to day the Sermon was. commemor ating the anaversary of Pauls converson to christianity. Very muddy. MONDAY, 26. The 8 Iowa drunken rowdies made a raid into our Barracks for the purpose of killing our Contrabands, one negro was slightly injured. Some frost. TUESDAY, 27. I Recd. a power of attor ney in behalf of Lieutenant D. B. Henderson in order to draw His pay for Him. Recd. a Treat from S. B. Card of apples & candy cold weather.
