Camp on Bear Creek August, FRIDAY, 14, 1863. I wrote a letter to Jane with $5,m00 inclosed. Spent to day drilling Co Detailing fatigue squads, and Reading. Had a good wash off in Bear Creek Very Hot to day SATURDAY, 15. I wrote a letter to Father & Mother, Lieut Soper of Co D shot Himself accidentaly through the Hand when on drill. The Div Surgeon Held a Meeting for the purpose of examining Deseased Men with a view to Discharging SUNDAY, 16. I wrote a letter to A. C. Henderson, and one to D B Henderson. inspection of Company an Reading all afternoon. Had a fine shower,,
