Violet Lea Farm Ill September, FRIDAY, 25, 1863 We went up on a visit to Elsie Milnes, Mother went Back with Team & Jane & me staid. Mr Milne is still Running the Saw Mill But It dont pay ,Very Cold Weather, frost, SATURDAY, 26. Visiting at Mr Milnes Elsie Makes it very pleasant. Jane is bussy sewing as usual, I had a slight Chill & fever yesterday & today ,Some warmer, SUNDAY, 27. Many of the folks in pecatonica have Rather loose Morals. I had a shake & fever to day pretty severe. We Rode down to Mr Durnos on Mr Milnes ox Team accompanied by Elsie
