Memphis Tennesee December, THURSDAY, 3, 1863. wrote to D [W?] Henderson got started for Regt at 8 A. M. on M. & C R. R. got as far as Lagrange & was stoped as the Rebels have Cut off Communications from Chewalla where the Regt. is. Stoped in Empty House with 7 others FRIDAY, 4. I wrote a letter to Jane no train through to day the Rebels passed Lagrange to day and attacked our forces at Moscow. saw Capt Earl Co. B He is on Court Martial Here SATURDAY, 5. the road is Broken west of Moscow no train through from Memphis to day. I wrote a letter to Mrs Durno to day the Negro Regiment at Moscow Whiped the Rebels yesterday
