6 Chewalla Tennessee January 6th 1864 Wedensday I played a few games Euchere today. I am very much inter -ested in Les Miserables it shows most Clarly the evils Resuling from a wrong State of Society, and an unequal distribution of wealth, & power the Author's motive in writing the Book was good. the prom ulgation of Truth, the advancement of Justice, and the provicti on of Charity.
