28 Memphis Tennessee January 28th 1864 Thursday I got a letter from Ben Sharp, giving me an account of how He is getting along with His work on the farm. I Receved Comutation of Rations while I was on Furlough $4.80. I went to the new Memphis Theatre this evening with Baker Curtis & others of Co "C" the Drama of East Lynne Rather poorly played the Comedy of the [illegible] still worse Very Pleasant weather
